I love power pop or similar styles of music and your record has been a great discovery to me. From now on you have a new fan.
Favorite track: Empty Streets.
All records are labor of love for anyone who makes music. We all love what we do. This record is no different, but it was harder to wrap up for some reason. This record took us 5 years to finish. We started tracking this album on the day that I found out Jennifer was pregnant with Piper. I obsessed and second guessed myself about every little detail for a long time. I mixed and remixed and thought about every little option for way to long. In the end, I don’t think anyone other than myself will ever notice the tiny little changes made, and I came to the realization that I was being ridiculous. I decided to let it go and put it out into the world.
I would like to thank my friends who helped me do this, especially Jason Caperton, Jaye Moore, and Jeremy Burnworth and of course, JJ. We have been recording music for a long time together. My favorite part of any album I’m a part of has always been the time spent with friends making the record. You guys are the best. Thanks for your help gentleman. Thanks for sitting in small, dark studios for endless hours with me grinding through all the necessary steps of completing a recording. I could never do this by myself. Nor would I want to.
This record is free to download. I have long since abandoned any hope of making $ from music. That being said, feel free to donate some funds to the cause. Just because I harbor no illusions doesn’t mean I won’t take your filthy lucre. Really though, I just want it to be out there, and I would like for you to listen. It means a lot to me. Maybe it will mean something to you as well. Enjoy.
Your pal,
Matt
